Philly Unveils New Demo Standards In Wake Of Collapse

Law360, Philadelphia (June 7, 2013, 5:31 PM EDT) -- In the wake of Wednesday’s building collapse that left six dead and 13 injured, Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter swiftly announced new standards and initiatives for demolition projects in the city on Friday.

The measures are aimed at ensuring the safety of private demolition sites across the city, after a four-story downtown building undergoing demolition collapsed on an adjacent Salvation Army store.
