NLRB Says Cablevision's Quorum Challenge Will Likely Fail

Law360, New York (June 11, 2013, 2:37 PM EDT) -- The National Labor Relations Board urged the D.C. Circuit on Monday not to put labor cases against Cablevision Systems Corp. units on hold, saying Cablevision's argument that recent recess appointment rulings strip the agency's ability to adjudicate cases isn't likely to succeed.

The agency responded to an emergency motion for a stay from CSC Holdings LLC and Cablevision Systems New York City Corp. that seeks to put the brakes on consolidated NLRB cases that stem from disputes with the Communications Workers of America.
