Judge Gives Early OK To Hancock Fabrics Settlement

Law360, New York (January 24, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A judge has given preliminary approval to a settlement in a class action that alleges bankrupt Hancock Fabrics printed credit card expiration dates on consumer receipts in violation of the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act.

In giving a nod to the deal Tuesday, Judge Brendan L. Shannon of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware set the final approval hearing for April 17 and gave the settlement class members until March 21 to object to the agreement.
