Cancer Testing Co. Blasts False Claims Suit As 'Speculation'

Law360, New York (June 18, 2013, 5:09 PM EDT) -- Cancer diagnostic company Caris Life Sciences Inc. told a Texas federal court Monday that allegations that it overbilled Medicare and gave hospitals kickbacks were based on "mistaken assumptions and speculation" from former employees who couldn't possibly have known about any false claims. 

Caris says the two ex-employees who brought the case can't back up their allegations that the company systematically overcharged Medicare for its services and gave hospitals discounts for its services that amounted to kickbacks. They didn't work at the company long enough to see...
