NY Lawmakers Reach Deal To Update Muni Arbitration Law

Law360, New York (June 19, 2013, 4:50 PM EDT) -- New York lawmakers have reached accord on revamping arbitration between local governments and police and firefighter unions so that localities' ability to pay for labor contracts gets great weight, a deal Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Wednesday would end the days of the state "subsidizing dysfunction and insolvency."
