Law360, New York (June 19, 2013, 4:29 PM EDT) -- Antitrust regulators in the European Union said Wednesday that they had raided several companies in the market for train cargo transportation services based on suspicions that the companies took part in a cartel.

The European Commission, the EU's antitrust watchdog, confirmed in a statement that its officials, along with counterparts from competition authorities in various EU member countries, carried out unannounced inspections at the facilities of a number of companies in the cargo train transport sector.
