ACA's Full-Time Worker Definition Is Flawed, Sens. Say

Law360, Washington (June 19, 2013, 7:04 PM EDT) -- Two U.S. senators on Wednesday launched a two-prong attack on the Affordable Care Act's definition of full-time workers, introducing legislation that would bump up the full-time threshold and urging President Barack Obama to delay ACA implementation.

According to Sens. Susan Collins, R-Maine, and Joe Donnelly, D-Ind., the ACA has placed small businesses in an economic bind by requiring them to provide health care for their employees if they have more than 50 full-time workers starting in 2014.
