Smart & Final Stores Skimped On Workers' OT Pay, Suit Says

Law360, New York (June 21, 2013, 1:09 PM EDT) -- Smart & Final Stores LLC was hit Wednesday with a proposed class action in California state court alleging that the company miscalculated its workers' overtime pay and gave them pay stubs that didn't reflect the higher hourly rate they received for coming in on Sundays.

According to the suit, filed by Raquel Manzo, who worked for the warehouse-store chain from 2004 until earlier this year, the company wrongly failed to factor in hourly employees' enhanced Sunday pay when determining their overtime compensation.
