Texas High Court Axes Rancher's Suit Over Oil Well

Law360, New York (June 21, 2013, 5:07 PM EDT) -- The Texas Supreme Court on Friday rejected a landowner’s suit alleging XTO Energy Inc. built an oil and gas well on his property that destroyed his cattle ranch operation, saying the landowner failed to prove he couldn’t have conducted the operations elsewhere on the tract.
