DuPont Workers Win Class Cert. In Pa. FLSA Suit

Law360, Philadelphia (June 24, 2013, 2:51 PM EDT) -- A Pennsylvania federal judge on Tuesday granted certification to class of DuPont Co. workers alleging the company violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by not paying them for time spent before and after their 12-hour shifts.

U.S. District Judge James Munley concluded that the three named plaintiffs in the case presented enough evidence to win initial certification, both with regard to time spent donning and doffing uniforms as well as providing shift relief to co-workers.
