DynCorp Fired Atty For Whistleblowing, Suit Says

Law360, New York (June 25, 2013, 3:13 PM EDT) -- An attorney who formerly worked for DynCorp International Inc. accused the military contractor of firing him after he questioned the company's alleged use of fraudulent billing practices to deceive the federal government, according to a suit filed in Virginia federal court Thursday.

Scott N. Carlson, who previously worked for DynCorp subsidiary Casals & Associates Inc., an international development firm, said he was eventually discharged in retaliation for challenging a company directive to mask overhead expenses as the costs from a specific project.
