News Corp., Judith Regan Settle $100M Suit

Law360, New York (January 25, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Judith Regan, the notorious ex-publisher at HarperCollins Publishers LLC, has settled her $100 million lawsuit against HarperCollins parent, News Corp., which she had accused of smearing her to protect the presidential ambitions of Rudolph W. Giuliani.

Regan and News Corp., the entertainment behemoth chaired by Rupert Murdoch, announced the agreement Friday, saying that the two parties had reached an “equitable, confidential settlement” and that neither side was acknowledging any liability.
