Retailer In Intel Suit Ordered To Open Its Files

Law360, New York (January 28, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge overseeing a consumer antitrust class action against Intel Corp. has dashed a bid by a retail computer chain to keep confidential information about its financial dealings with the microprocessor giant from the prying eyes of plaintiffs' lawyers.

Overruling objections from Fry's Electronics Inc., Delaware District Court Judge Joseph J. Farnan agreed on Friday to adopt the recommendations by the court-appointed special master to compel production of the documents, including those purportedly containing trade secrets.
