Judge Won't Take On Alleged Standard Chartered Prejudice

Law360, New York (June 25, 2013, 5:37 PM EDT) -- A New York magistrate judge declined Tuesday to take any action to fix a fracas over alleged deposition noticing advantages given to one legal side in sprawling multidistrict litigation against Standard Chartered Financial Services SA over a Bernard Madoff feeder fund.

Judge Frank Maas refused to interject in the issue as depositions steamroll to a close in the larger Fairfield Sentry Ltd. suit, which is serving as the lead pretrial point for various feeder fund suits, saying the parties can work it out themselves.
