Law360, New York (June 27, 2013, 1:43 PM EDT) -- Apple Inc. on Wednesday lost its bid to add Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.'s Galaxy S4 smartphone to its latest patent infringement lawsuit against the South Korean electronics maker, as the California court overseeing the case attempts to narrow the scope of the litigation.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Paul S. Grewal said adding the Galaxy S4 to a list of other Samsung devices accused by Apple of infringing its patents would further tax the court's time and resources, which are already consumed by the expansive dispute.
