Patton Boggs Settles Energy Co.’s $1.3M Malpractice Claim

Law360, Dallas (July 8, 2013, 1:59 PM EDT) -- Patton Boggs LLP has settled a malpractice suit brought by a Gaedeke Energy LLC affiliate who claimed the firm flubbed a natural gas pipeline transaction by not including a refund clause in the contract, costing the real estate company $1.3 million, a Gaedeke attorney said Monday.

The firm and former partner Vince Murchison reached a confidential settlement on June 28 with Gaedeke Holdings VI Ltd. that covers all claims and parties, according to Robert Tobey of Johnston Tobey PLLC, which represented Gaedeke. The case had been...
