Ex-Execs Duck Bribery Claims Over Rival's Hospital Buy

Law360, Dallas (June 28, 2013, 8:43 PM EDT) -- A Texas state judge on Friday trimmed commercial bribery claims from a suit accusing four former Cornerstone HealthGroup Holding Inc. executives of usurping the company’s opportunity to buy another hospital group and instead giving it to private equity firm Nautic Partners LLC.

Dallas County District Judge Martin Hoffman kept most claims in the suit alive, denying summary judgment on claims that executives Patrick Ryan, Kenneth McGee, Jerry Huggler and Chad Deardorff tortiously interfered with Cornerstone’s plans to buy a rehab hospital like Reliant Hospital Partners LLC...
