9th Circ. Sides With DOI In Calif. Water Rights Dispute

Law360, Los Angeles (July 1, 2013, 8:41 PM EDT) -- The Ninth Circuit on Monday affirmed a California district court’s decision to grant summary judgment to the Department of Interior and other agencies that were sued by the Tehama-Colusa Canal Authority, finding that the California Water Code doesn’t require contractors to be awarded priority water rights.
