Bid To Stop ITC Proceedings Tossed In Tessera Suit

Law360, New York (January 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge on Monday shot down STMicroelectronics NV's move to stop chip maker Tessera Inc. from participating in International Trade Commission proceedings against it, finding that the products under investigation by the commission were not covered by a license defense.

ST-NV had brought the motion in December, arguing that the claims of certain products could only be litigated in California, and not in front of the ITC.
