Texas Attorney General, EFF Sue Sony Over Anti-Piracy

Law360, New York (November 21, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- Sony BMG Music is facing at least two separate lawsuits over its failed anti-piracy technology on music CDs, intended to restrict the number of times a single disc could be copied.

Texas' attorney general and a California-based Electronic Frontier Foundation both said they were suing the music company under new state anti-spyware laws.
