Coach USA Bus Dispatchers' Class Action Gets Nod

Law360, New York (January 30, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A district court has conditionally certified a collective action against bus company Coach USA Inc. by bus dispatchers who say they were wrongly classified as exempt from the overtime pay requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Judge Katharine Hayden granted class certification Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, saying that the record showed sufficient similarity between the duties of the operations supervisors and employees eligible for overtime.
