Investigator Warns Of Toxic Burn Pits At Afghanistan Base

Law360, New York (July 11, 2013, 4:24 PM EDT) -- A special investigator warned military commanders on Thursday that the failure to award a contract to operate incinerators at a base in Afghanistan was forcing the toxic open-air burning of garbage, endangering the health of 13,500 military and civilian personnel.
