Ex-NY Hospital CEO Pleads Guilty In Kickback Case

Law360, Los Angeles (July 11, 2013, 4:07 PM EDT) -- The former CEO of New York's Hospital for Special Surgery, the oldest orthopedic hospital in the U.S., pled guilty on Thursday in New York federal court to participating in a fraudulent scheme in which he accepted $300,000 in undisclosed kickbacks from a hospital employee.

John R. Reynolds, a 64-year-old resident of Venice, Fla., pled guilty to one count of wire fraud and one count of making false statements to the federal government. Reynolds was indicted in September and was reportedly in talks with prosecutors to resolve the...
