Homeowners Lose Appeal Of Hurricane Ike Takings Claims

Law360, Dallas (July 11, 2013, 7:47 PM EDT) -- A Texas appeals court on Thursday blocked a group of homeowners from pursuing takings and fraud claims against Jefferson County and a regional planning commission for allegedly failing to warn them their homes were in a flood zone, saying the government entities have immunity.
