Celebrity Chef Tom Colicchio Sues Over Loan Gone Sour

Law360, New York (July 12, 2013, 5:09 PM EDT) -- “Top Chef” star Tom Colicchio and 14 others sought Wednesday in New York state court to force software company Navagate Inc. to pay back $1.35 million plus interest that it allegedly owes for defaulting on promissory notes.

The group of plaintiffs, which include the longtime judge on Bravo's “Top Chef,” claim that Navagate's CEO Gregory Rorke dined and dashed on $50,000 lent from Colicchio and up to $200,000 from each of the other lenders in 2011, when Navagate entered into dissolution by proclamation, a corporate dissolution...
