Philips Doles Out Vouchers To Settle AirFloss Suit

Law360, New York (July 12, 2013, 4:05 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Thursday gave preliminary approval to a deal requiring Philips Oral Healthcare Inc. to issue refunds to as many as 50,000 consumers to settle a class action accusing the company of misleading consumers about its Sonicare AirFloss plaque removal product.

Under the deal, Philips will send out vouchers valued at $33, $23 and $7 to three categories of class members who purchased the AirFloss product, putting to a rest a suit that claimed it did not adequately remove plaque from teeth....
