Federal Circuit Upholds Injunction Vs. Teva, Ranbaxy

Law360, New York (November 22, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- Generic drug makers Teva Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. and Ranbaxy Pharmaceuticals Inc. were dealt a blow Tuesday when the Federal Circuit affirmed Pfizer Inc.’s injunction against the pair and their generic Accupril for hypertension treatment.

Pfizer and its subsidiary Warner Lambert Company LLC sued Teva and Ranbaxy in January in response to the companies’ combined launch of the generic product. The suit was filed in U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
