Boston Guitarist Has Ax To Grind Over Ex-Members' Logo Use

Law360, Los Angeles (July 12, 2013, 10:33 PM EDT) -- Boston's former lead singer and his son are infringing a trademark owned by band founder and guitarist Donald Thomas Scholz by using the classic-rock legends' logo to promote their own shows, Scholz alleged in a complaint filed Friday in Washington federal court.

Francis and Anthony Migliaccio, who use the last name "Cosmo" as artists, are also refusing to stop music festival promoters from advertising their upcoming concerts as performances by Boston, a still-active band that has sold more than 30 million albums, the suit claims....
