Eddie Money, Sony Music End Download Royalties Fight

By Dan Prochilo (July 15, 2013, 9:49 PM EDT) -- Eddie Money has reached an agreement with Sony Music Entertainment to drop all claims in his suit accusing the music company of shortchanging him on royalties from digital downloads of his songs, according to an order of dismissal filed Friday in New York federal court.

The two-page order signed by District Judge Richard Sullivan provided no specifics on the deal reached by the parties and was entered on the date the judge had set for both Money and the rock band Toto — which also sued Sony seeking unpaid royalties — to comply with disputed discovery requests from Sony.
