Army Translation Contractor Breached $697M Deal, Suit Says

Law360, New York (July 16, 2013, 8:31 PM EDT) -- Translation services provider Shee Atika Languages LLC on Friday sued fellow contractor Global Linguist Solutions LLC in Virginia federal court, alleging GLS breached a nearly $697 million subcontracting agreement to provide interpretation services for the U.S. military’s operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Shee Atika contends that after GLS used it to help secure a hotly contested $4.64 billion U.S. Army contract for interpretation services, GLS breached the subcontracting deal between the two, which guaranteed Shee Atika subcontract revenue equal to 15 percent of the total funds...
