Texans Tell 5th Circ. $8B BP Settlement Favors Louisianans

Law360, Washington (July 15, 2013, 6:32 PM EDT) -- Texan businesses and individuals affected by the Deepwater Horizon oil spill asked the Fifth Circuit on Friday to remand BP Exploration & Production Inc.'s $7.8 billion property damage class action settlement, claiming the terms make it more difficult for Texans to recoup their losses than other class members.
