Northrop Wins $173M DOD Contract For Target Tech Support

Law360, New York (July 17, 2013, 7:12 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded Northrop Grumman Corp. a $173 million contract related to its battlefield target and surveillance technology, enlisting the company to provide training, repairing and other services for the next five years.

The performance-based contract involves Northrop’s LITENING technology, a system of “pods” used in aircrafts to detect targets “under a wide range of battlefield conditions,” the company said Wednesday.
