Penn State To Pay $60M To Settle Sandusky Victim Claims

Law360, New York (July 18, 2013, 6:42 PM EDT) -- Pennsylvania State University’s Board of Trustees has signed off on paying about $60 million to settle personal-injury claims launched against the school by alleged victims of former assistant football coach and convicted child molester Jerry Sandusky, The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday.

The university announced July 12 that it had approved a resolution authorizing the university to make settlement offers to a number of individuals who launched claims against Penn State asserting that they were sexually abused by Sandusky.
