Robbins Geller Says NYC Blocked Access To CityTime Docs

Law360, New York (July 19, 2013, 5:55 PM EDT) -- Law firm Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP on Wednesday sued New York City in state court, saying it had wrongly been denied its Freedom of Information Law requests for contract documents related to the city's kickback scandal-plagued CityTime project.

According to Robbins Geller, it had submitted FOIL requests to the New York City Department of Investigation, the city's Office of Payroll Administration and the office of Mayor Michael Bloomberg, seeking documents related to Science Applications International Corp.'s contract to implement CityTime and an investigation into a related billing fraud, but most of its requests had been unfairly denied.
