'Easy Rider' Star Sues D&G, Nordstrom For $3M Over T-Shirts

Law360, New York (July 22, 2013, 3:39 PM EDT) -- Actor Peter Fonda, star of the 1969 film “Easy Rider,” sued Dolce & Gabbana USA Inc. and Nordstrom Inc. in California court Friday, alleging the brand and retailer exploited his likeness by slapping his image on T-shirts without his permission.

Fonda, son of the late actor Henry Fonda and brother of actress Jane Fonda, is seeking $3 million from the companies who have improperly profited from advertising and selling men’s T-shirts bearing his image, according to the complaint.
