Antitrust Claims Cut From WellPoint Reimbursement Rate MDL

Law360, New York (July 22, 2013, 2:47 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Friday trimmed much of a multidistrict litigation alleging WellPoint Inc. and UnitedHealth Group Inc. improperly reimbursed health care providers and insurance subscribers, throwing out antitrust allegations but keeping intact a handful of other claims, including breach of contract.
