Bloomberg Sues Comptroller Over $67.6M Contract Rejection

Law360, New York (July 22, 2013, 5:59 PM EDT) -- New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg on Thursday sued city Comptroller John Liu in state court, alleging Liu had unlawfully rejected $67.6 million in city contracts awarded to Aguila Inc. to operate homeless shelters, which the mayor claimed leaves several hundred families at risk of losing their housing.
