N.Y. Wants Drug-Pricing Data From AWP Defendants

Law360 (February 1, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The State of New York on Thursday asked a federal court to compel Abbot Laboratories and other defendants to produce sale and transactional data used to determine pricing for certain drugs in the ongoing litigation over inflated average wholesale pricing in the pharmaceutical industry.

Abbott is just one of scores of drug makers accused of inflating the reported average wholesale prices of its drugs to defraud Medicare and boost sales.
