Insurer Says Judge Ignored Facts In Bratz Coverage Ruling

Law360, New York (July 24, 2013, 1:49 PM EDT) -- National Union Fire Insurance Co. of Pittsburgh, Pa., asked a New York federal judge Tuesday to reconsider her ruling that it must cover MGA Entertainment Inc. in a failed suit alleging MGA stole the idea for its Bratz dolls.

U.S. District Judge Shira Scheindlin ruled July 10 that National Union had a duty to defend the toy company in the Bratz suit because the alleged infringement took place within its 2001 policy periods.
