Citi Bike Breach May Have Exposed Users' Personal Info

Law360, New York (July 24, 2013, 6:24 PM EDT) -- More than 1,000 users of the newly launched New York City-based Citi Bike program may have been affected by a security breach that exposed personal information that reportedly includes credit card information and other data, according to the New York City Transportation Department.

A “potential security” issue affected 1,174 of NYC Bike Share’s roughly 180,000 customers, according to NYC transportation department spokesman Seth Solomonow, who did not comment on details of the breach.
