Texas Medicare Schemer Gets 11 Years In Prison, $5M Fine

Law360, Washington (July 24, 2013, 7:33 PM EDT) -- A Texas federal court sentenced a major player in an $11.1 million false claims scheme to more than 11 years behind bars and ordered he pay more than $5 million for his involvement in the Medicare and Medicaid conspiracy involving durable medical equipment, the Federal Bureau of Investigations announced Wednesday.
