Admiral, Essex Settle Construction Co.'s Row Over $8M Verdict

Law360, Chicago (July 25, 2013, 6:52 PM EDT) -- Admiral Insurance Co. and Essex Insurance Co. have reached a deal to exit a Florida construction company's suit over their refusal to settle an underlying case over defective stucco installation that ended in a $7.7 million negligence verdict against the company, according to an order issued Thursday.

U.S. District Judge Patricia C. Fawsett dismissed claims pending against Admiral and Essex with prejudice following the notice of partial settlement that plaintiff Professional Plastering & Stucco Inc. lodged on July 18.
