Judge Won't Unseal Docs In Paula Deen Race Bias Row

Law360, New York (July 26, 2013, 5:22 PM EDT) -- A Georgia federal judge on Friday refused a request by Atlanta media outlets to unseal documents in the high-profile harassment suit against Paula Deen, in which the celebrity chef admitted in a deposition to having used racially offensive language. 

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Atlanta-based TV station WSB-TV filed a motion on July 10 asking the court to unseal the documents in the employment lawsuit against Deen, her brother and Uncle Bubba's Seafood and Oyster House Inc., a restaurant they co-own. The media outlets argued that the...
