Community Health Systems To Shell Out $3.9B For HMA

Law360, New York (July 30, 2013, 12:49 PM EDT) -- Community Health Systems said Tuesday that it will buy regulatory probe target Health Management Associates for $3.9 billion, a deal the hospital operators said creates a combined company with a broader geographic reach that is better prepared for health care reform.
