Apple, Motorola Narrow Smartphone Patent Suit In Fla.

Law360, New York (July 30, 2013, 2:34 PM EDT) -- Apple Inc. and Google Inc.'s Motorola Mobility LLC have each agreed to drop a host of patents from an intellectual property dispute in Florida federal court over wireless and mobile device technology, according to a filing Monday.

In a joint stipulation, Motorola agreed to dismiss eight patents from an infringement suit against Apple, and the iPhone maker agreed to drop six patents from its infringement counterclaims against Motorola.
