Fed. Circ. Rejects Challenge To $130M Helicopter Contract

Law360, Los Angeles (July 31, 2013, 9:36 PM EDT) -- The Federal Circuit shot down helicopter operator Croman Corp.’s request to force the U.S. Forest Service to take another look at its bid on a $130 million contract to provide helicopters for fighting forest fires, saying Wednesday that the agency didn't do anything wrong when it snubbed Croman.

The helicopter runner accused the agency of improperly overlooking its bid on the contracts, but the three-judge panel affirmed the U.S. Court of Federal Claims’ ruling that the Forest Service hadn’t acted unfairly.
