BofA Says Feds Prepping Suits Over Mortgage Securitizations

Law360, Los Angeles (August 1, 2013, 8:01 PM EDT) -- Bank of America Corp. may soon face civil charges from the U.S. Department of Justice and Securities and Exchange Commission over its handling of jumbo mortgage-backed securitizations, the corporation said in a periodic SEC filing made public Thursday.  

BoA said it has received a number of subpoenas and other requests for information from regulators and governmental authorities regarding mortgage-backed securities and other mortgage-related matters, according to a Form 10-Q filing for the quarter ending on June 30.
