Blue Shield Unit's 'Hidden Deductibles' Inflate Costs, Suit Says

Law360, New York (August 2, 2013, 3:13 PM EDT) -- A Blue Shield of California unit was hit Thursday with a class action by policyholders claiming its “Vital Shield” policy is a misnomer because it does not cover certain essential health services and that its “hidden deductibles” drive up costs to consumers.
