Obama Nominates SAIC Exec For Air Force Secretary

Law360, New York (August 2, 2013, 7:56 PM EDT) -- President Barack Obama on Thursday nominated former assistant defense secretary and current SAIC executive Deborah Lee James to become the secretary of the Air Force.

If confirmed, James would be the only current female service secretary, and the second in history, after Sheila Widnall, who was nominated by President Bill Clinton, served as secretary of the Air Force from 1993-97.
