2nd Circ. Tells Rakoff To Clarify Refco Appeal Ruling

Law360, New York (August 5, 2013, 3:19 PM EDT) -- The Second Circuit on Friday sent back a challenge to the dismissal of claims against four defendants in Refco Inc. securities fraud litigation, saying that the lower court needed to explain why it was allowing a quick piecemeal approach to appeals before the case is resolved.

At issue is U.S. District Judge Jed S. Rakoff's October order, which allowed Sphinx Ltd. funds to immediately appeal the dismissal of claims alleging Liberty Corner Capital Strategies LLC, Liberty Corner owner William Pigott, Ingram Micro Inc. and CIM Ventures...
